After making himself known by releasing songs on SoundCloud, he reached an ever-increasing level of fame in 2016, signing for the Hear This Music label. Mainly active in the field of Latin music, during his career he has collaborated with numerous international artists, including J Balvin, Cardi B, Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, Nicki Minaj, Nicky Jam, Maluma, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Lil Pump, French Montana, Enrique Iglesias, Drake, Will Smith and Jennifer Lopez. Bad Bunny is primarily a Trap Latino performer. As described in a Rolling Stone article, Bad Bunny sings in a “conversational tone,” employing “a low slime tone, sticky melodies and rapper cadence.” In an interview with Billboard, Bad Bunny said that his greatest musical inspirations were Héctor Lavoe, Vico C, Daddy Yankee and Marc Anthony. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio was born on March 10, 1994 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Martínez wanted to be a singer since he was five. He attended audiovisual communication courses at the University of Puerto Rico in Arecibo.
